1918 SOCIETY


The exclusive donor club was created in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Powell High School Alumni Association’s founding.  This multi-level monthly giving society offers options to fit any budget.  Join now and invite other alumni to help us make impacts for future generations of Powell High School.  All donors will be acknowledged at our annual gala, but always have the option to have their donation listed as Anonymous if they wish to remain so.

As a special thank you, each society member will be presented a special gift at our 100th year Gala.

Campus


is a public high school located in PowellTennessee, just north of Knoxville at 2136 W. Emory Rd. It is part of the Knox County Schools.

History


The first high school in Powell was established in 1874 and was called Perkins High School. In 1916, it was renamed for Columbus Powell, the prominent person for whom the Powell Railroad Depot had been named earlier. The current school was established in 1948. Its most recent renovation was completed in 1985.

Alumni Association Scholarship Fund


One of the biggest goals of the Alumni Association is our Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded to those designated by the board of the Alumni Association as those deserving through academic achievements, community service, and other accolades.

Since 1964 the Powell High School Alumni Association has awarded over $125,000 in scholarship funding!

While the digital reader board and materials where provided through generous donations of the Haslam Foundation, General Shale, Sk3 Architects, The Depot Printing, & Stooksbury Construction, the labor was paid for by both the Powell High School Alumni Association and the Powell Business and Professional Association.
